Accessible Participant Service Plan
Back 2 Basickz is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible environment for all participants, volunteers, staff, and visitors. We believe that accessibility is a fundamental right and essential to that everyone has the opportunity to participate fully in our programs, services and activities. 1. Scope and Purpose This policy applies to all aspects of our organization, including all facilities, programs, services and activities. The purpose of this policy is to ensure that we meet or exceed the accessibility requirements of all applicable laws and regulations, including the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). 2. Accessibility Standards We strive to meet or exceed the accessibility standards outlined in AODA, including but not limited to the following.
- Providing accessible parking spaces and entrances.
- Ensuring that our facilities are wheelchair accessible and barrier free.
- Providing accessible seating and assistive listening devices.
- Ensuring that our website and digital content are accessible.
- Providing accessible formats or printed materials upon request.
- Providing accommodations for individuals with disabilities, such as sign language interpretation or assistive technology.
3. Training and Education We provide training and Education to all our employees and volunteers on accessibility and disability-related issues, including awareness and sensitivity training, as well as training on how to provide accommodations and respond to accessibility-related
